Set in the beautiful Ribble Valley, Stonyhurst College is an independent co-education Catholic boarding and day school and home to 700 pupils during term time. However, beyond the College’s excellent academic offer, very few people are aware of the breadth of commercial activity encompassed under ‘Stonyhurst Enterprises’.
Like many other independent schools, Stonyhurst is not only an educational establishment, it’s a business, and a varied one at that. During the school holidays the College plays host to a multitude of events and residential lettings, organised and delivered by Stonyhurst Enterprises. Our repertoire of events range from international language schools and sports and holiday camps, to events such as Literature and Food Festivals, location filming, open-air cinema and outdoor theatre productions, formal dinners, weddings and residential lettings.
At Stonyhurst Enterprises we have over 25 years’ experience hosting external events, and we pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of service from initial enquiry to completion. Consequently, our percentage of return bookings is extremely high.
Our dedicated Events Co-ordinators ensure every event runs smoothly and that the magnificence of the Grade I listed building is matched only by the level of service we provide.
Our history, character and unique setting make Stonyhurst one of the most impressive venues in the North of England – as well as a wonderful location for films and advertising. Lancashire is the geographical centre of the UK and the Queen’s castle in the North. Not only is the area acknowledged to be one of the most popular places in the country to live, work and visit, the Ribble Valley is a recognised area of outstanding natural beauty.
An area of unrivalled splendour, well known for its scenic countryside and famous landmarks, the Ribble Valley is a place infused with history, holding a wonderfully rich heritage.
“Stonyhurst is regarded as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Lancashire’s beautiful Ribble Valley”.
