Who is Ann Widdecombe?
Ann Widdecombe is a household name across the UK, but who is the woman behind the outspoken political figure?
Born in Bath in the 1940s, Ann has spent her life dedicated to her career as an MP, working her way from being the MP for Maidenstone, all the way up to becoming the Shadow Home Secretary in the 1990s.
After stepping down from her post in 2010, Ann found further fame by guest hosting BBC panel show ‘Have I Got News for You’, as well as appearing as a contestant on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, where she finished 2nd.
However, what many people don’t know about Ann is that she’s also a distinguished author, having published four fictional books and an autobiography.
